Central Public Procurement Portal is made available as a platform to provide a single point access to the information on procurements made across various Ministries and the line Departments. It aims at transparency and non-discrimination amongst bidders, by allowing free access to tender documents, clarifications, secure on line bid submission and access to bid opening event to all, from any place on 24X7 basis, using the system through Internet, in a faster, and secure environment adopting industry standard open technologies.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (d/b/a BSNL) is a government owned telecommunications service provider headquartered in New Delhi, India. It is under the ownership of Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. It was incorporated on 1 October 2000 by the Government of India. Its top official is designated as Chairman and Managing Director who is a central government civil servant of the Indian Communication Finance Service cadre or a central government engineer of the Indian Telecommunications Service cadre. It provides mobile voice and internet services through its nationwide telecommunications network across India. RailTel, a “Mini Ratna (Category-I)” Central Public Sector Enterprise is an ICT provider and one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a Pan-India optic fiber network on exclusive Right of Way (ROW) along Railway track. The OFC network covers important towns & cities of the country and several rural areas. RailTel has a strategic relationship with the Indian Railways and it undertakes a wide variety of projects including provision of mission critical connectivity services like IP based video surveillance system at stations, ‘e-Office’ services and implementing short haul connectivity between stations and long haul connectivity to support various organizations within the Indian Railways. RailTel also provide various passenger services including content on demand services and Wi-Fi across major railway stations in India.
- GAILTEL
It is the Telecom & Telemetry services department of GAIL (India) Limited whose main role is to design, develop and maintain a modern & efficient Telecommunication infrastructure to facilitate continual business processes of GAIL. Currently, GAILTEL maintains around 9000 kms of the Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) infrastructure laid along GAIL’s cross-country trunk Natural Gas and Liquefied Pipeline Gas pipeline networks. Based on the OFC network, GAILTEL maintains critical captive Telecommunication systems required for safe, reliable, remote and efficient 24×7 pipeline operations. These include Centralized Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition System (C-SCADA) system, Centralized APPS system (Leak Detection & Inventory Calculation), CCTV systems, Voice (EPABX) systems, Pipeline Intrusion Detection System (PIDS), etc. Dedicated Wireless Microwave Communication systems are also maintained for providing captive services in pipeline sections, where OFC based Telecommunication system is not available.
