The success of any economy is going to depend on self reliance and having alternatives to fallback. Bharat’s role in digital era is greatly limited to software services and there is a definite need for augmenting our growth in terms of hardware design and ASIC. Close to 90% of hardware used in Bharat is SKU imported from other countries. To be self reliant and successful, Bharat should take strides to make indigenous and competitive designs in Hardware and ASIC that could be locally produced and globally accepted as a viable alternative.
